Our Story

Life Grow Consulting was first conceptualised in 2018 with founder, Prem Chakarvarty, aiming to make a difference in the community through enacting positive change. Through his many years in the field and working together with various communities, Prem was determined to bring about meaningful change and improve the lives of the community members he met and assisted along his journey. This led to years of planning and learning, and thus Life Grow Consulting was born.

Prem's parents inspired Life Grow Consulting due to their determination and drive to open up learning opportunities for the family and ensure small, optimistic efforts were always being made. These values have remained true within Life Grow Consulting, with the aim of improving lives and equipping individuals with the necessary life tools at the core of the business.

The journey began when Prem was involved in university life through the international students committee, contributing towards student welfare. Prem later progressed into volunteering with the local community in the Ballarat Scouts group. He then joined YMCA Ballarat and worked across Sebastopol Youth Centre and Wendouree Youth Centre, as well as Delacombe Community Hub. Prem also took time to work with Indigenous school students as a Mentor with the Australian Indigenous Mentoring Experience (AIME) and continued to grow his career and knowledge whilst working at Anglicare Sydney. Throughout these experiences, having the opportunity to work with children, families, and community groups in a community engagement network enabled Prem to realise the importance of guidance, positive engagement, and encouraging good learning experiences for all.

Prem at Life Grow Consulting is a member of a range of agencies and associations, including the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW), Australian Institute of International Affairs, United Nations Association of Australia, and Refugee Council of Australia.

As mentioned, Prem's work throughout the community has highlighted the fact that a standardised approach to providing support to participants and their communities simply will not work. Life Grow Consulting is committed to collaborating with individuals and their social networks to bring together the best supports and resources for overcoming their unique challenges and leading improved lives. With each day we aspire to aid in the overall betterment of the communities and enriching the lives of individuals we have the pleasure of meeting and working with.

As we progress into the future, Life Grow Consulting strives to continue to improve lives and facilitate positive change in the community. We aspire to be able to work together with people with disabilities in building a better, more accessible, future for them through developing entrepreneurial initiatives. These programs will focus on inclusion, independence, developing confidence, and strengthening the community by opening up opportunities for people with any kind of disability. We are excited for the possibilities ahead and encourage all visitors to join us on the journey ahead to our continued success.
